Alecia Sekwati
Alecia holds a Bcom in Economics and International Trade from North-West University.
In May 2023, Alecia joined Balondolozi Investment Services as an Equities/ESG Intern, where she is responsible for conducting ESG research, running attribution and index weight analysis to explain and analyse a portfolio’s performance against a particular benchmark.
Her role also involves assessing and evaluating the sustainability and ethical practices of companies and investment opportunities, by analysing various aspects of a company’s operations, policies and performance through proxy voting to determine their impact on environmental, social, and corporate governance issues.
She is currently completing her Honours degree in Applied Development Economics at the University of the Witwatersrand with the hopes to further grow into her role and perform all her duties with diligence in meeting company goals and one day become a renowned Research Analyst within the ESG space.
