Alecia holds a BCom in Economics and International Trade from North-West University and completed her Honours degree in Applied Development Economics at the University of the Witwatersrand. In 2025, Alecia further enhanced her expertise by completing the ASISA Equity Analyst Short Course, earning a certificate in the field. Alecia is a Trainee Equity Portfolio Manager and ESG Analyst.

Since joining Balondolozi in 2023, Alecia has been actively involved in equity research, portfolio attribution, and index analysis, contributing to the construction and evaluation of investment strategies, monitoring performance relative to benchmarks, and contributing to investment decisions that balance risk and return. She also applies her background in ESG analysis to ensure that portfolio strategies are informed by both financial fundamentals and sustainability considerations. With a strong foundation in economics and development, along with her continued professional development, she brings both analytical depth and a sustainability lens to her work, positioning her to grow into a well-rounded equity portfolio manager within the investment team.
